Kind of like people forget that the complete line that gives provides the title to one of America’s most famous novels is: "…but remember it’s a sin to kill a mockingbird." Somehow we as a culture, as a society, as a people have forgotten that the same as true with greed. The popular culture helped spin us out of control with the notion that greed is for the good of us all. It ended up biting most of us in the ass, this off target wrong headed faux wisdom that gained traction in the go go `80’s and 90`’s with movies like "Wall Street" and junk novels like Tom Wolfe’s kneepad tory tome "The Bonfire of the Vanities"- with all of its fawning "Master of the Universe" fealty towards some of the worst that "Capitalist Man" can devolve to.
