This is the guy who I think wrote the most illuminating accounts of the whole financial meltdown, the aftermath, the bailouts, and the implications. Go to http://www.rollingstone.com/contributor/matt-taibbi because I guess he is back at RS and check out his articles starting way back in 2006-7. It is worth a subscription to RS to read his work on the Great and Ongoing Recession as it appeared over the years. When I first read the articles I remember thinking: "Hey, this is a great gonzo styled journalist in the Rolling Stone tradition of Hunter Thompson, but I am thinking, how accurate is all of this… well, it turns out that as the years churned and more and more came out about how the Obama-Bush team bailed out the financial sector and then went along with allowing the too big to fail syndrome to heal with a steroid like regimen of public sector support, well, Matt was telling it all like it really was before anyone would have believed it- and still is.
